I will be adding things of interest here each week

- Demand Avoidance and PDA: Two weeks ago, we had an enjoyable conversation with Dr. Tara Holmquist. Our focus was on the PDA profile and demand avoidance. I took the time to distinguish between typical neurodivergent demand avoidance and the specific characteristics of the PDA profile (spoiler, I believe many people are falsely conflating typical neurodivergent demand avoidance with PDA these days).
- Navigating Routine Disruption: In our discussion last week, we dived into the world of routine disruption and the pervasive free-floating anxiety it can trigger. We emphasized the significance of pinpointing the root causes of routine-related anxiety. This understanding can bring about a sense of control and empowerment in managing such challenges.
- Autistic Masking: The Impact on Mental Health, Identity, Safety, and Privilege: In today's episode, we engaged in a heavy but important dialogue about masking and unmasking. Our conversation delved into the complexities of intersectionality and the crucial factors of safety, power dynamics, and privilege that come into play when addressing Autistic masking. Additionally, we explored the emotional toll that masking can take on the mental health of Autistic people.
