Solve it Grid

Creating the Solve-it Grid

  1. Draw a Grid: Create a 2x2 grid on a piece of paper or digitally.
  2. Label the Quadrants: Label the quadrants as "Fun & Urgent", "Fun & Not Urgent", "Not Fun & Urgent", and "Not Fun & Not Urgent".
  3. Identify Emotional Cues: In each quadrant, list tasks based on the emotional cues they evoke (positive or negative) and their urgency.
  4. Task Placement: Place tasks in the respective quadrants based on their emotional stimulation and urgency level.
  5. Action Plan: Develop an action plan to tackle tasks in each quadrant, focusing on incorporating positive emotional cues to make even the "not fun" tasks more engaging.
  6. Review and Adjust: Regularly review and adjust the grid based on your experiences and changing priorities.
  7. Visual Reminder: Keep the grid in a place where it can serve as a constant visual reminder to help manage tasks and time effectively.
